Short Bio in Pictures
November 20th, 2008
I was born on February 14th, 1985 in Vladivostok, Russia to my caring parents Val & Irina (sister Julia joined the gang five years later).
From my early days, I knew that software is my calling. My first language was Pascal and I learned Russian shortly after:

I was always known for my teamwork skills,

as well as the “open doors” policy

At five years young, I stole Linus Torvald’s penguin, as well as his yearly supply of Captain Morgain’s Spiced Rum (pictured below the penguin), proceeding to sail away to Egvekinot, Chukotka to join my grandparents - geologists.

The rum supply made me good friends with Anna M, who hasn’t stopped partying since and now lives in London.

Life in USSR wasn’t easy - KGB was always closing in, forcing me to carry a sword at all times.

Eventually I joined the Hussar Corps. One can always tell a true Russian Hussar by the depiction of matreshka they wear underneath the vest.

Later on we moved to a small town not far from the Moscow suburbs. Trained by my grandfather, I won a high school chess championship when I was 13 and haven’t played the game since (OK, this one is true).

In 2000, our fam moved to Vancouver, Canada. To be continued…
Currently I am the co-founder of MOBIFY together with John Boxall and the rest of our superstar team. I enjoy travel (picture below is from Crimea, 2008), bboying and making things happen.
